Temple University, in partnership with the HYPE Foundation, put together a competition for Temple Students and Faculty to introduce new ideas. The two-day event focused on enhancing football safety and other sport innovations that would enhance the athletic experience for players, fans and participants.

Cosmo’s background in Football, technology and healthcare made him uniquely qualified to judge the competition. The ideas presented were judged on productivity, cost, innovation, presentation and potential.

“It was exciting to hear their pitches. The creativity and innovation on display made it tough to judge. I felt Temple Pride,” stated Cosmo DeNicola.

The top three startups were awarded a cash prize and given the opportunity to present their innovations the next day at the Worldwide Pitch Competition. The competition was webcast internationally and provided wide exposure for Temple University and its students.
