Soul Announce Premiere of New Web Series

Beginning today, the first day of the Arena Football League season, fans of the Philadelphia Soul can go behind the scenes with the team as it prepares to defend its Back-to-Back Arena Football League Championships thanks to a partnership with local production company MyNEWPhilly.

The online series will highlight the personalities that comprise the 2018 Training Camp Roster as they prepare for the season, fight for final roster spots, and bond as teammates in pursuit of a third straight Championship.

“We are incredibly proud of our organization and the people that are part of it,” said Soul Vice President of Business Operations, Marc Zamarin. “It all starts with high character players and coaches for us, and this series is a great opportunity for fans to really get to know the phenomenal human beings that represent this city so proudly.”

Film crews from MyNEWPhilly have been embedded with the team since the beginning of Training Camp capturing candid moments on & off the field and conducting in-depth interviews with players, coaches and ownership. Using their unique perspective and creative style, the hope is that viewers can identify with these professional athletes in a way they may not have before.

“This group of guys are champions on and off the field, I’m honored to have been chosen to direct this series,” said MyNEWPhilly Founder Kyree Terrell. “It’s by far the most fun I’ve had producing, and definitely the most exercise!”

“The team at MyNEWPhilly is a joy to work with,” Zamarin said. “When you can collaborate on a shared vision with people that enjoy what they do as much as those guys, it’s impossible to not create something that you’re proud of.”

The first episode, aptly titled “The Intro”, sets the stage for the series and gives viewers a sense of what to expect moving forward. New episodes will be made available each of the next few weeks. Footage will include practice field interactions between players & coaches, off-field appearances by players, and coaches’ conversations about roster decisions, as well as footage from the Soul’s first away game of the season on April 14th in Albany, NY and the Home Opener in Philadelphia on April 21st. All available episodes can be seen anytime, on-demand, at www.PhiladelphiaSoul.com/3thehardway. The series is presented by Chima Steakhouse.
