## Super Agent's Super Bowl Party Brings Out Texas Legends and Celebs Galore

When Leigh Steinberg‘s annual Super Bowl bash hits your city, attendance is mandatory. The famed sports agent, who was the inspiration behind the hit film *Jerry Maguire*, hosted his 30th Super Bowl féte at Hughes Manor on Saturday, outfitting the massive space with unlimited food, drinks, and celebrity sightings.

Partygoers basked in the sprawling outdoor venue, hopping from tent to tent as caterers filled the space with a bevy of cuisines featuring everything from miniature cheese burgers and barbecue to Tex-Mex staples and petite desserts. Grey Goose kept the drinks flowing with endless bottles of its vodka.

Raging pop tunes engulfed the extravagant bash before the man of the hour, [Leigh Steinberg](http://nesn.com/2017/02/does-agent-leigh-steinberg-ever-get-tired-of-jerry-maguire-questions/), took the stage for the Steinberg DeNicola Humanitarian Awards where former Houston Oilers star [Warren Moon](http://www.titansonline.com/news/article-4/Warren-Moon-on-Marcus-Mariota-His-Future-is-Bright/59d5e65e-b846-4ef3-8484-3fb9053773dc) was awarded the 2017 Humanitarian award.

But the real star of the hour was another Houston Oilers legend, Earl Campbell. Campbell picked up the BBVA Compass Live Bright Award, which honored the former NFL heavyweight for his work with the MS Society. Chef, author, and BBVA ambassador Sandra Lee presented Campbell with the crystal award alongside a festive, three-tiered, blue-ombre cake.

Artist Calleo also created a commemorative art piece, which he presented to Campbell in partnership with UTEP running back and NFL Draft prospect [Aaron Jones](http://www.minerrush.com/2017/1/19/14327804/utep-football-what-life-without-aaron-jones-will-look-like) at the ceremony’s close.

The Seen: Former Tennessee Titans, all-pro running back Eddie George, model Nicole Murphy, University of Texas legend Vince Young, recording artist and talk show host Adrienne Bailon Houghton, recording artist Israel Houghton, Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians, newly retired NFL wide receiver Steve Smith, Kansas City Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Steven Johnson, NFL player James Anderson, singer/songwriter Ryan Cabrera and international model Carissa Rosario.

## Catholic Health Services taps Uniphy for caregiver communication, collaboration app

Catholic Health Services of Long Island, a 1,928-bed, six-hospital health system, has tapped Uniphy Health for a physician communication and collaboration app that will be rolled out across the whole system.

"The most important aspect Catholic Health Services was interested in [was] its ability to support in-network referrals, minimize referral leakage and maximize referral retention in network," Dr. Stuart Hochron, chief medical officer and co-founder of Uniphy Health, told MobiHealthNews. "It’s a huge problem: Hospitals the size of CHS are in a position to lose up to $40 million a year in terms of referral leakage just from a clinically-integrated network."

As the name implies, Uniphy has created an app intended to bring together many different workflow needs for physicians. It supports secure messaging, secure image sharing, and group announcements as well as a physician directory. The app also facilitates referrals, helping to keep them in network, and interfaces with two databases: the hospital's EHR and the New York State Health Information Exchange (HIE). This allows physicians who are on some kind of value-based compensation such as bundled payments or shared risk arrangements to be notified when their patients show up at the emergency room.

"In this case we’re taking data from the New York State Health Information Exchange on patient transitions from home or nursing homes into an emergency department, and when one of the clinically-integrated network patients hits an emergency room, the primary care doctor, or if it’s a bundled payment, shared risk patient, those physicians who are financially at risk will receive an instant notification on their mobile device," Hochron said. "One click will bring them to the emergency department physician and they then have a 40 percent chance of preventing that admission. It’s a tremendously powerful proven tool to prevent readmission."

What's being rolled out right now is a caregiver-facing app that helps smooth communication throughout the enterprise, but Uniphy offers some of its other customers patient-facing apps as well. Those apps can tap into the same network to allow patients to communicate with their doctors for things like appointment scheduling or price comparisons. Uniphy is meeting with CHS to discuss the possibility of rolling out that app next.

Dr. Joel Shu, CHS vice president for clinical transformation and population health, said in a statement that CHS chose Uniphy Health for its straightforward design.

“The differentiator with Uniphy Health is that their platform is designed from the ground up for clinical communications," he said. "There are bigger players in healthcare IT, the EHRs, for example, but when they try to bolt something onto their existing systems, it’s not always successful.”

The key to making an app like Uniphy work is quickly getting a critical mass of providers to use it, so that communications sent in the app don't go unanswered. Hochron says that they take that challenge seriously.

"You have to give the physicians [and other caregivers] functionality that they can’t live without," he said. "It has to be functionality that’s difficult to acquire elsewhere, and it has to provide them with a path of least resistance to the most important information."

## Tropicana Runs Upbeat Daily Content On Kutcher's A Plus Site

Tropicana this morning launched a sponsored, custom section on the A Plus site that will be refreshed with new content each morning for the next six weeks.

A Plus, a “positive journalism” site founded by Ashton Kutcher and partners in January 2015, is part of the Chicken Soup for the Soul company.

Called “[Morning Spark](http://aplus.com/morning-spark),” Tropicana’s section on the site features native videos and both curated and native article content. The content is being featured on the site’s digital, social and mobile platforms, which reach “millions” globally, according to the brand.
The stories are also being promoted on social by A Plus’s network of celebrity influencers, who include Adam Levine, Laverne Cox and Britney Spears.

A video released this morning in the Morning Spark section is positioned as [part of a story](http://aplus.com/a/drink-it-forward-social-experiment?rel=homepage) based on A Plus having conducted a “social experiment” to “see what could happen when strangers were encouraged to pass on positivity by paying compliments to others.” The video, called “Spark a Smile,” is also on YouTube (below).

A Plus took over a coffee shop in Brooklyn, N.Y., to film the results when breakfast diners were handed bottles of Tropicana with complimentary, hand-written notes attached, such as “You are a fantastic mom,” and “Your smile shows your confidence.” Sure enough, the positive feedback inspires the recipients to do the same for others around them (surprise!). The video’s tagline: “What will spark you to be your best today?”

The nearly 70-year-old PepsiCo OJ brand says it’s seeking to reposition itself from being a breakfast staple to being “an inspiration to be your best every day.” The content sponsorship is a way for the brand to “engage a new generation of consumers in a relevant and meaningful way,” says Tropicana general manager Björn Bernemann.

Although it’s the U.S. OJ brand leader — with a 7.4% market share, per Euromonitor data — Tropicana, along with Coca-Cola’s Minute Maid and Kraft’s Capri Sun, are suffering from an overall decline in orange juice sales.

According to Nielsen, sales of orange juice, long America’s go-to breakfast beverage, have plunged 13% over the past four years.

Reason: Negative buzz around OJ’s nutritional content in recent times, even as Americans have become obsessed with home-juicing everything from berries to kale.

For example, *Business Insider* senior science editor Erin Brodwin recently [pointed out](http://www.businessinsider.com/orange-juice-not-healthy-2016-10) that a 12-ounce glass of OJ contains 153 calories, 34 grams of carbs and 27 grams of sugar — “the same amount of carbs as a bag of M&Ms, and just three fewer grams of sugar.” Brodwin declared orange juice to be “the biggest con of your life,” encouraging readers to instead drink a glass of water, and have a whole orange as a snack. Vitamin C and other vitamins and nutrients in OJ can be gotten through other, less sugary drinks and foods, say OJ critics.

With that kind of bad press — which is also being fed by the misconception that OJ has added (rather than naturally occurring) sugar content — orange juice brands have been price-discounting at retail and scrambling to implement new marketing and product strategies.
With functional beverages, including those offering probiotics, on the uptrend, Tropicana recently became the first OJ brand to offer a probiotic version. Tropicana Essentials Probiotics will roll out nationally in 2017.

Last April, Minute Maid launched its own upbeat advertising campaign, “Doin’ Good,” meant to offer under-appreciated parents some encouragement. Minute Maid is [currently running](http://www.mediapost.com/publications/article/289861/minute-maid-encourages-notes-to-parents-for-holida.html) a holiday-themed extension in which children write loving thank-you notes to their parents.

The A Plus site has partnered with nearly 30 advertisers in its first year, according to a Tropicana PR rep.
