Last weekend the Chicken Soup for the Soul Education team exhibited our bullying prevention program, Hallway Heroes, at two prominent conferences—ASCD in Anaheim, CA (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) and NSBA in Denver, CO (National School Board Association). Superintendents, principals, assistant principals, counselors and school board members visited both booths. In addition, on Saturday at ASCD, we sponsored a talk by our national speaker, Alex Kajitani, 2009 California Teacher of the Year and top-four finalist for National Teacher of the Year. Alex, a featured speaker, spoke on “Creating a Culture of Compassion” to a packed house and his talk was well received. Alex is also the coauthor of our new book for teachers, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for Teachers, that goes on sale April 18th.
