The 2017 NFL draft kicked off Thursday April 27th in front of a record breaking crowd at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. With the 10th pick of the draft, Kansas City Chiefs selected Steinberg Sport & Entertainment client, Patrick Mahomes. The Texas Tech quarterback, who signed with Leigh Steinberg earlier in the year, was surrounded by friends, family, teammates and coaches in his hometown Tyler, Texas when he got the call.
“With my hometown in the background, Philly put on a great show. I am so proud of the job Leigh and Chris have done representing our 2017 Draft Class,” stated Cosmo DeNicola.
Also, selected in the 2017 draft were Jamaal Williams to the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Jones to the Green Bay Packers, and Jayon Brown to the Tennessee Titans.
Steinberg and agent Chris Cabbot also announced the Unsigned Free Agent signings of Chad Wheeler to the New York Giants, Cooper Rush to the Dallas Cowboys and Dane Evans to the New York Jets.
