With the addition of three new divisions in the 2022 calendar year, all sports divisions will now be represented by one collective brand and identity
Los Angeles, CA – As a part of its continued growth, Equity Sports announced today a company-wide rebrand from its former name, Steinberg Sports & Entertainment. All existing sports divisions will now be rebranded to Equity Football, Equity Basketball, and Equity Action respectively. Equity Baseball, which was formed in May 2022 as part of a merger with Reynolds Sports Management, was the first step in the rebranding process.
Chris Cabott will maintain his role of CEO and lead Equity’s strategy and vision, as well as continue with client representation.
“Today’s announcement marks the culmination of a process started two years ago, when the Yucaipa Companies purchased an equity stake in SSE and SSE’s legendary founder Leigh Steinberg started his company, Steinberg Speaks,” said Cabott. “We wish Leigh the best with his continued endeavors outside of the agency and are excited for the future of Equity Sports. All current agents and executives will maintain their respective roles and responsibilities with Equity Sports. Mike Silverman, Brandon Grier and Troy Payne lead Equity Basketball. Larry Reynolds, Terry Jones and Mike Dillon lead Equity Baseball. Patrick Murphy leads Equity Action. Cabott, Dan Saffron, Samantha Sankovich and Cameron Foster lead Equity Football, along with Selywn Roberts, Sam Mirza, Derek Hawkridge, Alisio Levine, Marcus Cromartie and Kate Ferrara.
