More than 150 industry professionals from corrugator and folding carton plants throughout the country met at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, from September 25-29 for Amtech Software’s 15th User Conference.  The three-day conference gave both experienced users and those new to Amtech’s Imaginera system an opportunity to enhance their knowledged base and improve their use of the software and its integration into their company’s many business operations.

            Amtech branded the conference “iThink” with the intention of provoking thought and conversation around the next generation of technology and how it will be applied to the corrugated industry.  Much of the conversation focused on “iNext,” the next generation of Amtech’s Imaginera system that leverages the cloud and web-based technology to create powerful new tools for users.

            “We’ve evolved from ‘I think’ to a collaborative ‘we did it,’” said Cosmo DeNicola in his introductory comments.“We’ve created a platform that will span two business cycles and we want to incorporate the latest technology as well as enable new and future technologies  to engage the next generation of packaging employees and software users.”

            Amtech’s software analysts were available for one-on-one consultation sessions throughout the conference and users attended breakout sessions focused on individual applications within the diverse Imaginera system and add-on modules.
