PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Business Journal announced today that Cosmo DeNicola, chairman of Futura mHealth, has been honored as a ‘2014 Innovation Awards’ recipient in the Technology Transfer of the Year category.

DeNicola received the award on behalf of Futura mHealth’s partnership with Temple University, specifically for the design, development and commercialization of the first clinically-validated smartphone app that helps to manage Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease (COPD).

“I am truly honored to receive PBJ’s Innovation award for tech transfer of the year,” said DeNicola. “But what is really an honor is having the ability to partner with my alma mater, Temple, and represent the healthcare and life science leaders of the Philadelphia community.”
