Iconic Sports Agent Leigh Steinberg to Host 28th Annual Super Bowl Party

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - It was announced today that Leigh Steinberg, iconic sports agent and founder of Steinberg Sports and Entertainment (SSE) will host his 28th Super Bowl Party at the Arizona Science Center on Saturday, January 31st in Phoenix, Arizona from 1:00-4:00 p.m. MDT.

This year’s party will feature a number of unique aspects including the NFL Gridiron Greats Exhibit, various technologies, equipment and studies focused on concussion reduction, cranium trauma prevention, and healing of the brain; and the inaugural Steinberg DeNicola Humanitarian Awards, an award designed by Steinberg and his new partner, Cosmo DeNicola, to commemorate members of the NFL community for their humanitarian efforts.

The honorees for the 2014- 2015 season include New York Jets’ owner Robert “Woody” Johnson, Miami Dolphins’ general manager Dennis Hickey, and St. Louis Rams’ head coach Jeff Fisher. Proceeds from the party’s silent auction will be awarded to local organizations in Phoenix that support public health, the Special Olympics, and wounded warriors; the respective causes of Johnson, Hickey and Fisher.

“I look forward to our upcoming party in Phoenix with great anticipation. The Gridiron Greats exhibit is one of a kind, the theme of the brain speaks directly to the need for the highest quality of life for active and retired athletes, the world gets to meet a true winner in Taylor Heinicke, and my dear friend and partner Cosmo DeNicola and I will be honoring three incredible role models for both the NFL and society. This is going to be one of our best parties yet,” said Steinberg.

Past parties have featured a live satellite hookup between soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, a live feed with troops in Iraq, and an environmentally themed party which had Governor Janet Napolitano and Steinberg release an endangered hawk into the wild. One party sent water machines, which purified water for 140,000 people, to a cholera stricken Haiti.

Early sponsors of the party and awards include DeskSite.com, dealaction.com, BizEquity, Inc., the China American Football League, and Prevacus, Inc.

The invite only party is attended by NFL owners, general managers, coaches, personnel departments, celebrities, entertainers, politicians, corporate CEOs, media personalities, athletes, entrepreneurs in technology, green initiatives, health, sports and entertainment, and SSE’s veteran and draft eligible clients; which include draft eligible quarterback Taylor Heinicke. Heinicke enters the 2015 NFL Draft as college football’s current leader in games played (50), total passing yards (14,959), TD passes (132), TDs responsible for (154) and completions (238).
