PHILADELPHIA – In May, Ernst & Young announced the acquisition of LogiStar Solutions, a fast-growing technology consulting firm founded in part by Cosmo DeNicola, Chairman of Cosmo DeNicola Companies. Some of the money from the acquisition is now being invested by DeNicola in a new “Innovation Lab” to build a Google Glass app.
Cosmo's Chief Innovation Officer Mark Handzlik is spearheading the development of the app, dubbed Inspector. It will cater to both the manufacturing and healthcare industries, aiming to provide mobile workers with hands-free intelligence. Special features of the app – which has been in the works for a few months – include flexible inspections, scheduling and reporting, inventory and data collection.
