MKSD’s 2013 decision to focus on a core group of clients and transition into a true boutique management, is paying off. A major factor in the development of the firm’s growth and client’s success was the expansion to the West Coast, with the addition of a Beverly Hills office. This provided a platform for more collaborative interaction within the heart of the talent industry which is based in Los Angeles. In addition, the technology driven evolution of the television business has created market forces that have contributed to enhanced client activity in the expanding TV markets. Platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, YouTube, etc. entering into the business of production of original scripted series, has changed the landscape of talent development in the TV industry. “The massive growth of NY television production, has created expanded opportunity for the company and its clients in our NY homebase," stated MKSD President Jeff Mitchell.
The 2016 pilot season has been MKSD’s banner year, with the company adding five new bought TV series to its roster bringing total on-air series to 11.
The 2016 television shows will include:
Christina Jackson in Outsiders for WGN network, Emma Kenney (former client) on Shameless for Showtime, Paulina Singer in Dead of Summer for Freeform network (formerly ABC Family), Keidrich Sellati in The Americans on FX, Nikki M James in Braindead on CBS, Olivia Edward in Better Things for FX, Noah Schnapp in Stranger Things for Netflix and upcoming series, soon to be announced, for clients Nick Ashe, Sydney Lucas and Tristan Wilds and Robert Iler.
“We are excited for our clients and the opportunities that these series bring to MKSD,” stated Chairman, Cosmo DeNicola.
