Kansas City, MO - Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes continues to invest in the Kansas City community that has welcomed him and his family with open arms. In addition to his partial ownership stake in the Kansas City Royals, Mahomes became a part owner of Sporting KC on July 27, 2021. 

Mahomes is also a part of the investor led franchise group that unveiled its plans on August 10, 2021, to expand the Whataburger franchise into the Kansas and Missouri region.
