On Sunday, March 22, Cosmo DeNicola Companies chairman Cosmo DeNicola was inducted into the Northeast Catholic High School (NECHS) Hall of Fame. Joining a select group of 105 inductees from over 48,000 graduates, Cosmo was honored for his entrepreneurial success and business acumen.

Established in 1989 by the school and the Association, The NECHS HOF was created to honor individuals that have brought fame and distinction to the school and themselves. Cosmo was inducted on Sunday morning during the Associations Communion Breakfast, and will be in the HOF amongst a group of alumni including football legend Bucko Kilroy, war hero Lt. General Thomas Kelly, and boxing aficionado Joe Hand.

During his acceptance speech, Cosmo said, “When I look back and reflect on my time at NECHS, what really stands out is are the people I met, the teachers who impacted my future, the friendships I developed and the core values that North and the Oblates instilled in me,” Cosmo said during his acceptance speech.

He also spoke about the importance of giving back. “Giving back is not just about money. It is more about being respectful, thoughtful and compassionate,” he said. “My goals at this point of my life are very different. I try to make people smile and laugh. I look to comfort older people and hopefully inspire the young, and it all ties to my time on Torresdale Ave.”

Nominations for the induction are submitted by the public, where a select committee consisting of the President, Executive Secretary, and Chaplain of the Association, along with four members - two from the Board of Governors and two active members of the Association – review and make the final decision.
